Dr Laura Serra García is a dermatologist passionate about caring for her patients’ skin, involved in different areas of dermatology such as surgery and skin cancer, melanoma, trichology, pediatric dermatology and general dermatology. In addition, it combines its healthcare work with dermatology research in the field of dermatological imaging and the application of artificial intelligence for the early detection of melanoma.
She has worked as a teaching collaborator for the Grau de Medicina of the University of Barcelona during the 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years.
2019 – 2023: Residency in medical-surgical dermatology and venereology at Hospital Clínic i Provincial of Barcelona (MIR 2018 exam qualification: position no. 82 out of 14,164 applicants)

Laura is the author of 14 scientific communications at international conferences, and 29 national conferences. He has participated in more than 20 conferences and more than 20 national and international courses where he continues to train and update himself daily in dermatology.
He has received the award for the best oral presentation of clinical cases in the course “Magistral Formulation in Dermatology – Practical Cases and News”, organized by the Dermatology Service of the Sagrat Cor University Hospital, on April 29, 2022.
It has been selected as a representative of Spain in the 18th edition of the “EuroDerm Excellence” course, held in Rome from November 15 to 18, 2022, placing 6th among all participants.
He has received the 2nd prize in the “Surgery Video Contest” at the meeting of the Spanish Group of Dermato-Oncology and Surgery of the AEDV, for the work “Pinch nail. Zigzag nail bed flap”, at the 34th GEDOC Meeting held in Madrid from November 24 to 26, 2022.
His communication has been selected among the 19 oral communications presented at the Resident’s and Fellows Symposium of the American Academy of Dermatology AAD 2023 congress, which took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA from March 17 to 21, 2023.
He has been awarded the “Contractes Clínics de Recerca Emili Letang – Josep Font 2023” final residency scholarship to carry out a research project on
