It usually produces variable discomfort and burning in the affected areas, and may be accentuated depending on the stimuli that cause it. Couperose may or may not be associated with rosacea, and with certain hormonal conditions such as those surrounding female menopause. Proper evaluation and treatment can improve or even eliminate it completely, and certain preventive measures may be essential. Vascular laser therapy modalities may in some cases provide a solution.
