Dr. Josep Malvehy is a world leader in research in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and skin cancer with extensive experience in this field. He is the director of the skin cancer (melanoma) program at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona and a consultant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York (USA).
He is a consultant to different European governments and the United States (NIH) for new technologies and treatment in skin cancer. He is currently the leader of the ISIC digital technology group).
Dr. Josep Malvehy is a professor at the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, CILAD, and a member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
He is a member and Spanish representative of the Board of the EADO (European Association of Dermato Oncology) and a member of the Melanoma Group of the EORTC and ESMO, the main European oncology organizations.
He is a founding member of the International Dermoscopy Society, the Confocal Working Group and the International Society of teledermatology. He is a full member of the European Academy of Doctors.
