Diagnosis Dermatologica is a pioneer center worldwide in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.

Its professionals are experts with recognized international prestige in skin cancer and melanoma and are under the medical management of Dr. Susana Puig Sardá and the Dr. Josep Malvehy Guilera, head of dermatology service and coordinator of the melanoma group at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. They are responsible for the introduction and validation of numerous diagnostic techniques, such as the digital tracking method currently implemented throughout the world and are authors of more than 400 research articles in the most prestigious international journals.

The medical team is made up of dermatologists who are experts in imaging technology, in dermato-oncology and in dermatological therapeutics, being leaders in these fields at a national and international level. We also have a team of nursing professionals and image technicians specialized in the dermatological patient with extensive experience.

The center has facilities inaugurated in January 2017, specially designed for the needs of the patient that has access to the best equipment for non-invasive diagnosis of the skin, in an area where the need for high technology is not contrasts with the warmth of the environments to ensure maximum comfort.

Diagnosis Dermatologica has for equipment of last generation (Mole Max HD) and Fotofinder of high definition with maps of polarized light and crossed polarization. It also has the most advanced confocal microscopy systems (Vivascope 1500, Vivascope 3000) that are combined with high resolution digital dermatoscopy integrated in the same system (Vivacam) for structural anatomical correlation and navigation during the exam. Other available technologies include Visia multispectral imaging, Vectra 3d image and laser equipment.

Our professionals annually perform more than 5,000 consultations of patients with skin lesions, being the reference center for more than 250 specialists at the state level and receiving international consultations from all continents.

Diagnosis Dermatologica has agreements with medical insurance companies to consult and perform digital explorations.

VISIA and VECTRA equipment are used to record and measure surface skin conditions and depth of the dermis, both with a rapid series of automated protocols and obtaining a 3-dimensional (3D) image map.

With this system you can obtain repeatable 3D facial images to record the progress of the treatment and the results effectively over time.

It is possible to design rejuvenation and facial skin care programs taking into account It counts the condition of the skin of each patient, measurement of wrinkles, UV damage caused by the sun and individual and personalized planning of anti-aging studies. Dermatological Diagnosis performs multispectral technology research with different light sources and filters and has a strategic alliance with Canfield corp., leaders in this type of technology.

Epiluminescence microscopy or Dermatoscopy is a non-invasive imaging technique that significantly improves the diagnostic accuracy of melanocytic and other skin tumors.

The new computerized diagnostic systems allow to obtain total body maps, locate the lesions and electronically archive the images of the lesions with digital epiluminescence microscopy. This makes it possible to perform very precise serial checks of the patient and detect minimal changes suggestive of malignancy even when there are a large number of lesions.

Digital dermatoscopy is a non-invasive imaging diagnostic technique that significantly improves diagnostic accuracy in melanocytic lesions and other skin tumors.

Digital dermatoscopy image diagnosis systems and maps allow obtaining total body maps, locating lesions and electronically archiving images of the lesions with digital epiluminescence microscopy. This makes it possible to perform very precise serial checks of the patient and to detect minimal changes in the patient's injuries.

Dermatological Diagnosis has image experimentation equipment and participates in an international research project in this field together with the University of Vienna, University of Graz (Austria), University of Naples (Italy), Polyclinic Institute of Marseille (France). It has a strategic alliance with Fotofinder and with Derma Instruments for these projects. In the Diagnosis facilities the training of professionals from around the world in these techniques is performed.

Confocal microscopy in vivo is an advanced non-invasive technique for the study of skin lesions that allows obtaining images with a cellular resolution similar to the conventional histology of a biopsy, without any risk to the patient and in a completely painless way.

This technology allows an analysis of the skin at the cellular level without the need to remove tissue. These techniques are only available in some centers of the world and allow direct diagnosis without biopsies of the skin and evaluate skin lesions before treatment or removal when necessary. The center collaborates with more than 100 dermatologists and plastic surgeons from around the world who refer their patients for diagnosis.
